Anyone Know Any Good Way To Get A Decent Debt Consolidation Loan?
I want to get a debt consolidation loan, WITHOUT using my home equity, but they are telling me my credit score is great, but by ratio is too high. Well, I want to consolidate all the CC debt I have, but it’s running me in circles. What’s the point of trying to get a consolidation loan if they won’t lend it to you because you have too much debt? Does anyone know of ANY bank or anywhere I can turn to that understands and can try and help me? Thank you for your help!

Those are risky to use. If you do decide to use one, then use a local one where you go into the place and talk to them. Don’t use one online. They are scams and ripoffs.
If you want to repair your credit then get a copy of your credit report. If the account is owned by the credit company (they call it second placed or debt puchase accounts) then you may be able to negotiate to have it removed if you pay it. This is technically illegal but most collection agencies will do it.
The other option is to ask for bill copies. If they cannot provide them many companies will delete the debt from your credit report. You can also send a letter to the collection agencies asking them to cease and desist. They must not contact you anymore. That does not remove it from your credit report BUT if they contact you after they recieve your C and D letter, they are obliged to delete it rather than face a lawsuit. Also if you are ill treated by the collection agency then write your Attorney General and the Attorney General in the state the collection agency is in and file complains and threaten legal action. If you don’t owe too much (over 5, 000) most collection agencies feel it is not worth the hassle.
Accounts can only stay on your credit for 7 years and the countdowns starts from the original company charge off date.
It would not hurt to talk to a local credit repair place as they are willing to help and stay ontop of things but whatever you do, DO NOT use an online place.
